[ This case is being taken up today as 14^th April, 2026 was declared a holiday on account of Ambedkar Jayanti vide Notification dated 10^th April, 2026 ]

On 4^th November, 2025, this Court, by way of an interim order and without examining the question of eligibility, permitted the Petitioner to appear in the examination for promotion from Scale III to Scale IV on a provisional basis. It was further directed that her result be kept in a sealed cover.

In compliance with the aforesaid directions, the Petitioner participated in the selection process. The result has been produced before this Court in a sealed cover. As per the same, the Petitioner has secured marks below the cut-off prescribed for inclusion in the final merit list and is, therefore, not in the zone of consideration.

Accordingly, the question of eligibility raised by the Petitioner is left open and has not been examined. The petition is disposed of in these terms. 5. It is clarified that, in the event the Petitioner is otherwise eligible, she shall be entitled to participate in future promotion processes in accordance with law.

The result of the Petitioner, which was kept in a sealed cover and shown to the Court, is returned to Mr. Rajat Arora, counsel for the Respondents. The same may be communicated to the Petitioner in accordance with the applicable rules. It is clarified that such disclosure shall not be construed as an adjudication by this Court on the issue of eligibility.
