The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to shift the electricity pole near the premises of the petitioner bearing no. 18/141, Kalyanpuri, Delhi-110091 (‘petitioner’s residence’).

It is stated that the aforesaid electricity pole is very close to the petitioner’s residence and poses a threat to the life and security of the petitioner and his family members. It is further stated that the petitioner is willing to bear all expenses for shifting of the pole from his residence to an appropriate place.

The petitioner filed a complaint before the District Magistrate on 26^th March, 2025 (Annexure P- 6). However, the same is yet to be decided by the District Magistrate.

At the oral request of the petitioner, District Magistrate (East), Delhi is impleaded as a respondent in the present petition.

Mr. Tushar Sannu, Advocate, who is present in Court, has been asked to accepted notice on behalf of the newly impleaded respondent/District Magistrate (East), Delhi.

Having heard the counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the District Magistrate (East), Delhi to decide the complaint of the petitioner in an expeditious manner, not later than four (4) weeks from today.
