Earlier, the petitioners had approached this Court by filing a writ petition being W.P.(C) 8704/2026, which was withdrawn with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Delhi Jal Board (hereinafter ‘DJB’) by filing a fresh application.

It is stated that a fresh application has been filed by the petitioner with DJB.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/DJB, on advance notice, submits that the three petitioners have paid the infrastructure charges and a new water connection has been approved. Counsel further submits that there is a sewer and a water connection already provided outside the petitioners’ premises and now the petitioners need to connect the same by installing their own pipelines/sewer lines through a licensed plumber. Thereafter, the petitioners need to install a water meter and inform the DJB regarding the same.

Counsel for the petitioner is agreeable to do the same. He submits that the petitioners’ neighbours are creating obstruction to the same.

In view thereof, the concerned SHO, P.S. Dwarka Sector 23, New Delhi -110077, is directed to provide police protection so that the necessary pipelines can be installed by the petitioners and connected with the main water/sewer lines of DJB.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
