This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 on behalf of the petitioner, who is the claimant in the arbitration proceedings, for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

It is stated that pleadings in the arbitration proceedings were completed on 18^th June, 2024. Subsequently, the previous Arbitrator resigned in August 2024, and a fresh Arbitrator was appointed by this Court vide order dated 27^th September, 2024. The current Arbitrator entered upon reference on 8^th October, 2024.

In view of the fact that the 12 months period expired on 18^th June,
