These are petitions seeking grant of anticipatory bails.

The two FIRs were filed, one by Mr. Sahil (hereinafter called Sahil group) being FIR bearing no. 0148/2025 dated- 16/02/2025, registered under section 109(1)/115(2)/126(2)/351(2)/61(2)/3(5) of BNS and 25/27 of Arms Act, at P.S.-Ranhola and another FIR by Kuldeep (hereinafter called Kuldeep group) bearing no. 0150/2025 dated16/02/2025, registered under section 109(1)/l 15(2)/126(2)/351(2)/61(2)/3(5) of BNS, at P.S.Ranhola, District-West, Delhi.

Both Sahil and Kuldeep are relatives and the disputes arose out of a family settlement.

The Sahil group has filed bail applications being BAIL APPLN. 983/2025, BAIL APPLN. 986/2025, BAIL APPLN. 987/2025 and BAIL APPLN. 991/2025 and Kuldeep group has filed bail applications being BAIL APPLN. 985/2025, BAIL APPLN. 988/2025, BAIL APPLN. 989/2025 and BAIL APPLN. 992/2025.

persons had beaten the complainant and others with lathis and pelted stones. Most of the injuries are simple in nature except Sandeep, who suffered grievous injuries.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a compromise dated 21.02.2025, wherein the members of both the groups have settled their disputes and do not wish to pursue the FIRs any further. Additionally, they have also agreed to cooperate in the quashing of the FIRs.

The Sahil group is represented by Mr. Rana, learned counsel and states that he has instructions to give no objection to grant of anticipatory bail to Kuldeep group members. Similarly, Mr. Malik, learned counsel appears on behalf of Kuldeep group and states that he has instructions to give no objection to grant of anticipatory bail to Sahil group members.

I am of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the FIRs any further on the ground that the parties have arrived at a voluntary settlement and have settled their disputes. Thus, it is a fit case to grant anticipatory bail.

However, I am of the view that the police machinery has been put in motion on account of the acts of commission & omission on behalf of the petitioners and useful time of the police which could have been utilised for important matters has been misdirected towards the present matter. Issues such as these end up wasting precious judicial time and state resources, ultimately affecting the society at large and negatively impacting judicial productivity. Hence the petitioners must pay some costs.

Learned counsels for the petitioners state that they shall voluntarily make donation to Delhi Police Welfare Society Fund. Hence, each of the petitioners shall deposit a sum of Rs. 5,000/- to Delhi Police Welfare Society Fund within 2 weeks from today.

Since the matter has been settled, the petitions are allowed and in case of any arrest, the petitioners be released on bail subject to their furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Investigating Officer and also subject to the following further conditions:-

(i) At the time of furnishing bail bond, the petitioners shall provide the mobile number, which they undertakes to keep operational at all times during the pendency of the trial.

(ii) The petitioners shall inform the concerned Investigating Officer about their current residential address.

¶40

(iii) In case of change of residential addresses/contact details, the petitioners shall promptly inform the same to the concerned Investigating Officer/SHO.

¶41

(iv) The petitioners shall join the investigation as and when asked.

¶42

(v) The petitioner shall regularly appear before the trial Court.

Needless to add, the offences in FIR bearing No 147/2025 dated 15/02/2025 registered at PS Ranhola under Sections 191(2)/191(3)/190 of BNS, 2023 are bailable in nature.

The petitions are disposed of.
