By way of the present petition, the applicant is seeking grant of interim bail for a period of 04 weeks for taking part in religious ceremonies and rituals, after the demise of his father.

The brief background of the case is that the applicant herein is facing trial in case arising out of FIR bearing no. 226/2018, registered at Police Station Ashok Vihar, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 302/201/120B/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter ' IPC ') read with Sections 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act, 1959. The father of the present applicant unfortunately passed away on 29.06.2025.

granted custody parole twice by the learned Trial Court, i.e. firstly on 01.07.2025 and secondly on 10.07.2025 for the purpose of performing last rites and tehravi ceremonies of his father.

The present application does not mention any specific reason, or religious ceremony or rituals, its date, etc. which is sought to be performed by the applicant herein. The learned counsel appearing for the applicant, even during the course of arguments, on being put specific query regarding specific ritual, ceremony or dates etc., could not provide any detail or answer to the query raised by the Court.

Considering the fact that the applicant was already granted custody parole for the purpose of performing ceremonies and rituals, after the said demise of his father, and no specific averments or arguments were raised before this Court for the purpose for which the interim bail is sought by the applicant herein; this Court, at this stage, is not inclined to grant interim bail to the applicant herein.

Accordingly, the present application is dismissed.
