“ 3. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction against the respondent no.1 to release the ex-gratia compensation of Rs.1 Crore, to which the petitioner claims to be entitled as per the extant policy of the Government of NCT Delhi (respondent no.1), on account of the fact that the mother of the petitioner contracted Covid-19, while being on official duty, and died on 02.05.2021.
4. It is submitted that for the purpose of release of the said ex-gratia compensation, certain documents were sought from the petitioner which have been duly provided. However, the respondents have not yet taken the requisite decision / released the amount to the petitioner.
5. After some hearing, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1 to examine the claim of the petitioner and take an appropriate decision / release the requisite amount. Let the verification of the petitioner’s claim be carried out expeditiously and an appropriate decision thereupon be taken within a period of eight weeks from today.
6. If any further document/s are required from the petitioner for the purpose of processing the claim and / or to take a decision, the same shall be duly
