The petitioner had earlier made representations dated 19.09.2025 and 23.09.2025 against the said action. Without adjudicating the merits, the Court (Sachin Datta, J.) recorded the agreement that respondent no.1 shall duly consider and decide the said representations after taking into account the attendant facts and circumstances, including those pleaded in the petition, after affording the petitioner an opportunity of hearing; the exercise was to be completed expeditiously and a reasoned order passed under intimation to the petitioner. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner assailing an order 01.05.2025 passed by the respondent no.1/Delhi Pollution Control Committee and a consequential notice dated 01.11.2025 issued by the respondent no.2/Government of NCT of Delhi.

By way of the said order dated 01.05.2025, the respondent no.1 has sought to impose Environmental Compensation of Rs.13,00,000/- on the petitioner for certain deficiencies. The subsequent notice dated 01.11.2025 was sent by the respondent no.2 seeking the petitioner to pay the requisite Environmental Compensation.
