This petition has been filed seeking setting aside attachment order dated 24^th June 2025 passed by the Assistant Collector Grade-I/II Office of the Registrar Cooperative Society (Recovery Branch) in Execution Case No.867/22-23 , which pertains to a matter of loan taken by ‘ Principal Borrowers’ from Vishnu Urban Cooperative Thrift & Credit Society /respondent no.1.

The attachment order directs recovery of the outstanding loan amount along with interest of Rs. 4,71,400/- ( principal amount ), amounting to Rs. 8,84,679/-.

Counsel for petitioner points out to the previous order passed by this Court on 22^nd March 2025 in W.P (C) 10240/2025, W.P (C) 10241/2025 and W.P (C) 10242/2025 titled as “ Manoj Kumar Surety of Ravinder Kumar Sahni v. The Vishnu Urban Cooperative Thrift Credit Society Ltd & Anr and connected matters”, which were also petitions relating to the petitioner having stood surety for three borrowers, and having approached the Appellant Authority for stalling the attachment of his salary. The directions passed by this Court, are as under:

Similar orders are being prayed by counsel for petitioner.

In view of the previous orders passed by this Court in W.P (C) 10240/2025, W.P (C) 10241/2025 and W.P (C) 10242/2025 , petitioner shall deposit an amount of Rs. 50,000/- in this appeal, subject to which the Appellant Authority may consider the prayer for entertaining the appeals and for grant of interim relief.

The petitioner is permitted to approach the Appellant Authority. In case such deposits are made within four weeks from today, the Appellant Authority, shall proceed to decide the appeals in accordance with law, expeditiously and, in any event, within a period of four weeks from the date of such deposits being made by petitioner.

Upon the deposit being made, it is made clear that no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner with respect to the salary to which he is otherwise entitled, until the appeals are decided.

Petition is therefore disposed of.

Pending applications are rendered infructuous.
