Respondent No.1, Anita Verma is the second wife of Late Sh. Bali Verma. After the demise of the father, she has refused to give him any share in the properties of the father. She is, therefore, not entitled to get the major chunk of the compensation amount and he, being the son of the deceased, should have been granted higher amount of compensation. The only grievance of the Appellant, therefore, is towards the apportionment of Rs.44,000/- to him from the entire compensation amount, while about Rs.50 lacs have been awarded to Smt. Anita Verma, the second wife of the deceased.
