This is a petition seeking quashing of FIR No. 398/2022, under Sections 380/454/467/471/420/120-B/34 of IPC, registered at PS Prem Nagar, New Delhi and consequential proceedings, if any, emanating therefrom.

As per the FIR, there are allegations of forging General Power of Attorney of respondent No. 2 by the petitioners. The FIR seems to be predicated on a property dispute.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have settled their disputes and arrived at a settlement dated 24.09.2024 wherein all the

disputes have been settled and the respondent No. 2 has agreed to cooperate in quashing of the FIR.

The petitioners are present in Court and have been identified by their counsel Mr Chandra Shekhar Salhaita. Respondent No.2 is also present in Court and has been identified by her counsel Mr Sundaram as well as by the Investigating Officer SI Kamal Chaudhary, PS-Prem Nagar.

Both the parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.

It is stated by respondent No.2 that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings.

For the reasons stated above, FIR No. 398/2022, under Sections 380/454/467/471/420/120-B/34 of IPC, registered at PS Prem Nagar, New Delhi and consequential proceedings, if any, emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
