- In the present appeal, the Petitioner - Inder Pal Singh@ kitti challenges the judgment dated 29th May, 2002 and order on sentence dated 30th May, 2002 arising out of SC. No. 59/97 in FIR No. 274/96 registered under Sections 302 IPC and Section 27 of Arms Act at PS: Model Town, wherein the ld. Trial Court convicted the Appellant under sections 302 IPC and 27 Arms Act .
- The incident occurred on 17th June, 1996 when the Appellant- Inder Pal Singh@ kitti caused the death of the deceased Ganeu with a kirpan . After the trial, the Appellant was convicted for life for the offence punishable under Section 302 IPC along with fine of Rs. 5000/-. The appellant was further sentenced to rigirous imprisonment for 3 years along with a fine of Rs. 500/-
