A report has been received from the learned Trial Court, with regard to the compliance of directions, received with respect to the grant of interim compensation to the victim „P‟ in case FIR No. 35/2020.

The relevant portion of the report is reproduced as under:

“It is also submitted that presently the interim compensation is being granted as per the directions given by Hon'ble High Court of Delhi in case titled as X Vs. State of Delhi (Acting through its Secretary) and anr., Crl. A No. 63/2022, decided on 20.10.2022 and there is no restriction in moving application for grant of further interim compensation in cases wherein interim compensation has already

been granted. However, in the present case, no such application has ever been moved by the victim showing her needs of further interim compensation after disposal of the first application vide order dated 29.09.2021.”

This Court has perused the above-said report, and in view of the fact that the petitioner has not moved an application showing the needs for further interim compensation after disposal of the first application, granted vide order dated 29.09.2021, learned counsel for the petitioner may move an appropriate application, in that regard.

It is, however, directed that after an application is moved on behalf of the petitioner, qua further interim compensation, the learned Trial Court will decide the said application within three weeks from the date it will be taken up for consideration.

No further relief is prayed for.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
