The present contempt petition has been filed with prayer for initiating contempt proceedings against the respondent no. 1 and 2 for willfully and deliberately disobeying the order dated 01^st September, 2023 passed by this court in W.P. (Crl.) 2500/2023 .

It is the case on behalf of the petitioner that in order dated 1^st September, 2023 the undertaking given by the respondents was categorically recorded, wherein the respondents had submitted that the application of the petitioner for grant of sanction shall be decided within a period of three

Learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for respondent nos. 2 to 4 appearing on advance notice submits that the petitioner has filed an application for grant of sanction to prosecute respondent nos. 3 and 4. He submits that the said application is pending for decision before respondent nos. 1 and 2. He submits that he has instructions to state that the said application of the petitioner shall be considered and disposed of by respondent nos. 1 and 2 within a period of four weeks from today.

Recording the aforesaid undertaking submitted on behalf of the respondents, the present contempt petition is disposed of, with liberty to the petitioner to revive the contempt petition in case he is still aggrieved by nonaction on the part of the respondents.
