Present public interest petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to the Respondents to ensure proper security in each and every school of Delhi as per law. The Petitioner further seeks issuance of directions to the Respondent to provide the action taken report on the Petitioner’s complaint dated 2^nd May, 2024 addressed to the Respondents.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner highlights the lack of proper security arrangements in the schools of Delhi such as absence of deputation of security guard with modern arms including guns and rifles. He enlists 12 schools in Delhi where proper security arrangements according to him are absent. He also states that it is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies to take steps to provide police protection in case of security threat such as terrorist attacks.

He states that the Petitioner addressed a complaint dated 2^nd May, 2024 to the Respondents, to which he has received no response till date. 4. Keeping in view the aforesaid, this Court directs the present writ petition to be treated as a representation to the DCP Security Delhi Police, who in turn is directed to decide the same (without divulging the security details) in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
