The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the directions be issued to respondent no.2/Land Acquisition Collector – LAC to release the compensation in respect of land admeasuring 3 bighas and 2 biswas comprising in Khasra No.113/8/1 situated in the revenue estate of village Khera Khurd, Tehsil Narela, New Delhi (hereafter the subject land ). 4. The subject land was acquired under Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (hereafter the LA Act ) in terms of the award dated 10.06.2005 for the public purpose of “Rohini Residential Scheme Under Planned Development of

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has made a representation for receiving the compensation, but the same has not been disbursed.

In view of the above, we direct the respondents to consider the petitioner’s case for disbursal of the compensation along with the applicable rate of interest in accordance with law. In case the LAC is of the view that the compensation, as demanded by the petitioner, is not payable, it shall pass a speaking order in respect of the same after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. The pending application is also disposed of.
