studies during treatment. Total compensation awarded is Rs.49,000/-. 9. The appellant is present in Court. She is now aged 10 years and her condition has been seen. The photographs of the injured portion of the appellant are on the record of the Claims Tribunal at page 413 which shows that the whole back portion of her body is completely disfigured with injury scars and the scars are horrendous. The appellant is seeking enhancement of compensation from Rs.49,000/- to Rs.25,80,000/- along with interest @ 9%. 10. This Court is perturbed to see the approach of the Claims Tribunal in this matter. The Claims Tribunal has not awarded any compensation towards loss of amenities of life, disfiguration, loss of matrimonial prospects, loss of earning, inconvenience, hardships, disappointment, frustration, mental stress, dejection and unhappiness in future life. The Claims Tribunal has also not awarded any compensation for the future treatment and surgeries that would be required by the appellant. The compensation under the heads of medical expenses, special diet and conveyance, pain and suffering and towards loss of studies is very low. The impugned award is perverse and shows total non-application of mind by the Claims Tribunal in this matter.
