It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 8th February, 2017, therefore, FIR No. 1283/2014 under Sections 3(1)(10) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 registered at police station Nand Nagri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ACP N.S. Minhas, Vigilance. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, he has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.
It is noted that on the complaint of petitioner no.1 FIR No. 481/2014
under Sections 323/325/342/34 IPC was registered against the respondent no.2 at police station Nand Nagri. Vide compromise dated 8th February, 2017 the disputes involved in the said FIR have already been settled and offences in the FIR have been permitted to be compounded.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
