The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to assail the order dated 30.09.2016 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi (the Tribunal) in O.A.2849/2011. The Tribunal has dismissed the petitioner’s Original Application wherein the petitioner sought compassionate appointment on the ground that his father Sumru Singh, who was Farash with the respondents, died on 05.12.1999 in harness. The petitioner has gone through several rounds of litigation. 18 years have passed since the demise of his father. The objective of granting compassionate appointment is to provide immediate succour to the bereaved family, so as to prevent them from financial ruin on account of sudden demise of the bread earner.
In the present case, as stated above, since 18 years have passed and the said immediate need does not survive. The petitioner could not be still waiting for compassionate appointment. He should have moved on in life.
Consequently, we are not inclined to entertain the present petition. Dismissed.
