The present are petitions under Article 226 of the Constitutionof India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking quashing of cross FIRs, one FIR bearing No. 637/2015 under Sections 323/341/506/34IPC registeredat Police Station- Sangam Vihar, Delhi and the other FIR bearing no. 634/2015 under Sections 323/341/506/509/34IPC registeredat Police Station- Sangam Vihar, Delhi and the proceedingsarisingtherefrom.

The parties along with their counsel have been heard and both the petitionsare being disposedof by this commonorder.

The subject FIRs were registered as a consequence of a misunderstandingbetweenthe parties. It is an admittedpositionthat Sakshi, the complainant in FIR No. 634/2015 misunderstood certain comments passedby Shakeel,Jameel and BaljinderSingh @ Kaku as being directedat her. On a complaint by Sakshi, the FIR No. 634/2015 was registered. Thereafter,a cross FIR bearingNo. 637/2015 was registeredat the instance of BaljinderSingh allegingthat a crowd had gathered,which was calledby Sakshi, leadingto an apprehensionof harm being causedto Shakeel,Jameel and Baljinder Singh.

Counsel for the parties state that with the interventionof respectable members of the societyand well-wishers,thepartieshave amicablyresolved their disputethat ledto the registrationof the subjectFIRs. It is, therefore, prayedthat the subjectFIRsmaybe set asideand quashed.

In view of the foregoing,the complainantsin the subjectFIRs namely Baljinder Singh and Sakshi who are "present in Court and have been identifiedby their respectivecounsel as well as the InvestigatingOfficerin the subjectFIRs namely SI SaurabhKumar, Police Station-Sangam Vihar,

Delhi state in unison that in view of the amicable resolutionof all their outstandingdisputes,they are no longer keen to proceed with the subject FIRs and the proceedingsarisingtherefrom.

In view of the foregoing, no useful purpose will be served by proceedingwith the subjectFIRs.

Resultantly,FIR No. 637/2015 under Sections 323/341/506/34IPG registeredat Police Station-SangamVihar, Delhi and the otherFIR bearing no. 634/2015 under Sections 323/341/506/509/34IPG registeredat Police Station- Sangam Vihar, Delhi and the proceedings arising therefrom are hereby set aside and quashed qua all the petitionerssubjectto each one of them depositinga sum ofRs.5,000/-with the Vietims' GompensationFund withina periodoftwo weeks from today. A copy ofthe receiptthereofshall be furnished to the InvestigatingOffieer in the subject FIR namely SI SaurabhKumar, PoliceStation-SangamVihar, Delhi.
