The petitioner was granted parole by this Court vide order dated 4.8.2015. The reason for seeking parole was that the wife of the petitioner was to be operated upon. The period of parole expires on 7.9.2015.
By the present petition, an extension of the period of parole has been sought on the ground that the wife of the petitioner could not be operated on the scheduled date. She reported for admission in the hospital on 10.8.2015 but was found to be running under high
temperature. As such, the operation had to be postponed and she was put to medication. The wife of the petitioner has now been asked to report to the hospital on 10.9.2015 and a tentative date for surgery has been fixed for 12.9.2015. The petitioner has also been made known that the patient would be requiring two units of blood and somebody to look after her during and after the surgery.
Considering the fact that the operation of the wife of the petitioner is scheduled for 12.9.2015, this Court is inclined to extend the period of parole of the petitioner for two weeks with the condition that no such extension would be granted and in case the operation is not performed, the petitioner would make necessary arrangements for somebody else who would attend to his ailing wife.
Let the period of parole granted by this Court to the petitioner on 4.8.2015 be extended for a further period of two weeks from the period when the earlier period of parole expires i.e. from 7.9.2015. For the extended period of parole, the same terms and conditions would be applicable.
Petition stands disposed of.
