into a Compromise. In terms of the settlement, marriage between the Petitioner No. 2 and Respondent No. 2/Complainant has been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consenton 12* December,2012. As Ml and i fmal settlement of all the claims of the Respondent No. 2, the Petitioner No.2 has to pay ^75 lakhs out of which ^60 lakhs have already been paid to her and remaining amount of ^15 lakhs have been paid today in Court by way of pay order bearing No. "874138" drawn on Syndicate Bank, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. The Respondent No. 2 has handed over the keys of the House No. B-7/9, First Floor, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi to the Petitioner No. 1 who is present in Court. She further states that in view of the settlement between the parties, she does not want to pursue the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.

Petitioner Nos. 2 to 10 are represented through the Petitioner No. 1 who is the Power of Attorney Holder. Photocopies of the Power of Attorney are enclosed with the present petition as Annexure-P-2 (collectively) and Annexure-P-3.

Petitioner No. 1 who is present in Court states that he is appearing on behalf of Petitioner Nos. 2 to 10 and the Petitioners have settled the matter with the Respondent No. 2. In terms of the settlement he has handed over

the pay order of the balance amount of Rs. 15 lakhs to Respondent No. 2 and has received the keys of the House No. Bj-7/9, First Floor Rajouri Garden, I New.Delhi.

In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, volition and without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Consequently, FIR No. 275/2008 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPG registered at PS Kirti Nagar, New Delhi and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed. Further the LOG opened against the Petitioner Nos. 2, 3 and 4 stands cancelled.

Parties have signed this order sheet in acknowledgment of their statements made before this Gourt.
