The petitioner has filed the present writ petition under Section 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of direction to the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner on the post of Deputy Superintendent of Prison (Jailor) w.e.f 31.03.2017.

It has been informed by learned counsel for the petitioner and learned State counsel also that the petitioner has already been promoted on 24.09.2025 on the post of Deputy Superintendent of Jail in the pay scale of Rs. 38100-120400 w.e.f. 02.04.2022.

Since the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed, nothing is required to be adjudicated at this juncture. However liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 24.09.2025 to the extent of grant of monetary benefits.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of granting aforesaid liberty in favour of the petitioner.
