“10.1 It is, kindly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire records concerning petitioner's case from the possession of the respondents for its kind perusal.

10.2 It is, respectfully prayed to this Hon'ble court for issuance of writ of mandamus for directing the respondents to consider the name of the petitioner for promotion from the post of Assistant Professor to the post of Professor from the date the petitioner is entitled and grants notional promotion with consequential benefits.

10.3 It is respectfully prayed to this Hon'ble court for issuance of writ of mandamus for directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of selection grade pay scale from the date which she is entitled.

10.4 Any other further order(s) as deemed fit and necessary by this Hon'ble court in the fact and the circumstances of the case with cost of the petition may also please be granted to the petitioners. ”

3. Learned State Counsel submits that the grievance of the petitioner

has already been redressed in terms of Annexure R/1, inasmuch as the petitioner has been granted proforma/fictitious promotion to the post of Professor pursuant to the amended departmental

order dated 29.05.2025, in compliance with the directions issued by this Court. In view thereof, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition and the same has become infructuous .

4. In turn, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to file a fresh petition in the event any monetary benefits have not been extended to the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, the present writ petition is disposed of as having become infructuous, with liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate legal remedy, including filing a fresh petition, in case any monetary benefits are found not to have been extended in accordance with law.
