The petitioners have filed this petition seeking the following relief(s):-

“10.(i) That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to grant the total arrears within 4 months failing which they will be entitled for interest as mentioned in similar order Annexure P-3, in the interest of justice.

(ii) Any other relief which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted. ”

Mr. Kushwaha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the pay scale of the petitioners has already been revised, whereby 10% of the arrears assessed by the department has been paid to the petitioners, and the remaining 90% is still lying with the department. He would contend that a direction may be issued to the respondent authorities to release the remaining 90% of the arrears amount to the petitioners.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the State would contend that the arrears amount has already been paid to the petitioners, and a letter dated 23.08.2024 has been placed on record to demonstrate this fact.

Having considered the letter dated 23.08.2024 issued by the District Education officer, Dhamtari, the petition is disposed of , as the amount of arrears of the revised pay scale has already been paid to the petitioners.

However, the petitioners would be at liberty to revive their prayer if cause of action still subsists. Sd/-
