By the present writ petition, the petitioners seek a direction to the respondent authorities to pay the Academic Grade Pay and the arrears amount to the petitioners.

At the outset, learned counsel for petitioners submits that identical issue which is agitated in this writ petition has came up before the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Writ Petition

(S) No.3307 of 2024 (Lokmani Yadav & Ors. Vs. State of Chhattisgarh & Ors.) and other connected matter which was decided on 25.06.2024 by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. He further stated that this petition may be disposed of in the light of that order particularly considering the paragraph No.8 of the above stated order which is mentioned herein as under:

“8. Considering the factual matrix of the case, let the State constitute a committee if it has not been constituted for examining the case of the petitioners for grant of grade pay which will ascertain the eligibility criteria of individual petitioner. The Secretary Higher Education Department is directed to constitute a committee within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order and in turn the

committee will do the exercise for grant of academic grade pay to the petitioners within 3 months from the date of constitution of the committee. If the petitioners are found eligible for grant of academic grade pay the same shall be paid to them from the dates they are eligible for the same.”

Learned counsel for the respondents do not have any objection to the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioners.

I have heard learned counsel for parties and perused the documents available on record.

In view of the above submissions and on perusal of the documents available on record, this petition is disposed of in the light and terms of the order of Lokmani Yadav (supra) passed in Writ Petition No.3307 of 2024 and if the petitioner is found to be the similarly situated persons, the grievances of the petitioners may be considered and decided.

Accordingly, this petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
