By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities to consider and decide his case in respect of his promotion.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 09.05.2025 raising his grievance with regard to the adverse entries made in his Annual Confidential Reports for the years 2022 and 2023 and the consequential non-consideration of his candidature for promotion, which was subsequently forwarded by respondent No. 3 vide letter dated 09.05.2025 to respondent No. 2 / Director for consideration and appropriate decision.

Learned State counsel submits that since the representation of the petitioner as also the forwarding letter of respondent no. 3 is pending consideration before the competent authority/respondent no. 2, the present petition may be disposed of with a direction to the said authority to consider and decide the same in accordance with law within a stipulated period.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/ to consider and decide the petitioner’s pending representation dated 09.05.2025, which has been forwarded by respondent No.3, in accordance with law, by passing a reasoned and speaking order, within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the grievance raised by the petitioner.
