By the present writ petition, the petitioners are seeking for the following reliefs :-

“(i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, preferably in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to quash and set aside the impugned order dated 07/04/2026 (Annexure P/2) whereby the services of the petitioners have been discontinued;

¶51

(ii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to continue the services of the petitioners on the post of Computer Operator (or equivalent post) with all consequential benefits;

¶52

(iii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to release and pay the pending salary/remuneration of the petitioners from October 2025 till date, along with applicable interest as deemed fit by this Hon'ble Court;

(iv) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction

directing the respondents to not to replace the petitioners by another set of contractual/outsourced employees, thereby protecting the petitioners from arbitrary displacement;

(v) That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to forthwith clarify and determine the service status of the Petitioners and to pass a reasoned and speaking order regarding their continuation in service, in accordance with law, in the interest of justice.

(vi) Grant any other relief(s), including costs of the petition, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners were

engaged by respondent department for last about ten years and since then they are continuously working, however, petitioners have not been paid their salary from the year October 2025 to April 2026. Petitioners have made earlier request, however, the requests have not been given any heed by the respondent authority and representation submitted by petitioners in this regard have also not been accepted.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that this petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondent

authorities to consider and decide the representations of the

petitioners, in accordance with law within the stipulated time.

On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel

for the respective parties, and in particular the grievances raised by petitioners in this writ petition that petitioners are not being paid the salary since October 2025, I find it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition at this stage, permitting petitioners to submit fresh comprehensive representation before respondent no. 2 and 3 and in the event petitioners submits such representation, respondent no. 2 and 3 shall consider and take decision on the representation to be submitted by petitioners on its own merits, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of the representation.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
