The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following reliefs:

“10.1) The Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the records from the respective offices of the respondents.

10.2) The Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent No.1 to grant suitable employment to the petitioner.

10.3) The Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other ancillary relief, as it may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.

It is pleaded that the land bearing survey No.724/1, admeasuring 0.065 hectares situated at Village Deepika, District Korba was acquired by respondent No.1 in the year 1981. It is further pleaded that the petitioner applied for employment in lieu of land acquisition on 21.9.2016 and the said claim was forwarded to respondent No.5 on 26.9.2017. Subsequent applications were moved before respondent No.2 on 19.12.2019 and 16.9.2021 but till date, no decision has been taken.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the State would oppose the submissions made by counsel for the petitioner. He would submit that the SECL authorities have to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the prayer made in the petition, this petition is disposed of reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to make a representation before respondent No.1 within a period of 45 days and in turn, the said authority is directed to take an appropriate decision

within a further period of 90 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
