These petitions have been filed by the petitioners for issuance of direction to respondent authorities to constitute a District Level Demarcation Committee for conducting demarcation of the petitioners' lands and provide compensation to them in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the State would submit that the petitioners have an alternate and efficacious remedy of filing an appeal as per Section

44(2) of the Land Revenue Code, 1959, therefore, the writ petition at this juncture is not maintainable.

In view of the above that the petitioners have an alternate remedy of filing an appeal, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

The petitioner is at liberty to file an appeal before the appellate authority.

In the eventuality of preferring an appeal by the petitioner before the appellate authority within 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, the appellate authority will consider and decide the same on its own merit without taking plea of limitation as this Court has already condoned the delay in preferring the appeal.
