By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for following

reliefs:-

“The Hon'ble Court may issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to decide the application of the petitioner for grant of regular stage carriage permit on the Raigarh to Jashpur and one return trip daily and to grant the same in accordance with the provisions of Motor Vehicle Act.

Any other relief which the Hon'ble Court may deems fit and

proper may also be granted in favour of the petitioner.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that an application for grant of a ‘Permanent Stage Carriage’ on the route from Raigarh to Jashpur and one trip back daily is pending consideration before respondent No. 1. She would further submit that a direction may be issued to the respondent authority to take decision on the pending application dated 18.4.2026.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the State would oppose the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

Taking into consideration the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner, at this juncture, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent authority to decide the pending application dated 18.4.2026 of the petitioner for grant of ‘Permanent Stage Carriage expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt / submission of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of .
