Learned counsel for the parties made submissions that on the same issue subject matter of the earlier WP (PIL) No. 84/2016 is pending consideration before the Division Bench - I. It is also informed as when case is fixed for hearing, respondent authorities therein were asked to submit the affidavit showing the status report. Mr. Rajkumar Mishra, petitioner herein submits that he is also intervenor in the writ petition bearing WP (PIL) No. 127/2019, WP (PIL) No. 58/2019 and WP (PIL) No. 63/2019. He submits that he may be granted time to make his submission.

In view of the submissions made, list this case in the month of June, 2026”

When again, case was listed on 15.06.2026, petitioner (in person) has given slip to the Reader regarding a letter of intimation through the Registrar (Judicial) mentioning that he met with an accident, therefore, he is unable to appear. Accordingly, considering the online request letter forwarded, the case was adjourned for listing of the case in the week after next.

Today also, petitioner (in person) has forwarded the similar request letter to Additional Registrar (Judicial) online mentioning the same reason.

When the case was listed on 07.05.2026, petitioner (in person) appeared and during the course of argument, when the statement was made by the counsel for the Respondent on similar issue, a writ petition bearing WP (PIL) No. 84/2016 is pending consideration before the Division Bench – I, the petitioner herein also is intervenor, this fact was admitted by the petitioner (in person).

In the aforementioned facts of the case, when the similar issue is pending consideration before the Division Bench – I in WP (PIL) No. 84/2016 where the petitioner herein has also caused his appearance as Intervenor

and it appears that he is participating in the hearing of the writ petition which is arising out of WP (PIL) NO. 84/2016, I do not find any good ground to continue with this contempt petition any further. Accordingly, the contempt petition is dismissed . Contempt proceedings initiated against the respondents is dropped . Contempt petition is closed.

Notices issued to the respondents stands discharged
