At the outset, learned counsel for respondent No. 1, by referring to Annexure R/1, would submit that pursuant to the directions issued by

this Court in WPC No. 2322/2024, the Collector directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner to decide the application/representation of the petitioner in accordance with the order dated 12/08/2024 passed in the aforesaid writ petition. It is further submitted that the Assistant Labour Commissioner, after due consideration of the petitioner’s case and upon calling the petitioner as well as the concerned association, was informed that the association was not in a position to enhance the wages. It is, therefore, submitted that there has been substantial compliance of the order passed by this Court through the action taken by the Collector and the Assistant Labour Commissioner, and the claim of the petitioner has been rejected.

Having considered the submissions made and on perusal of the record, this Court is satisfied that the directions issued earlier have been complied with.

Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous in view of compliance. Rule stands discharged.
