Petitioner has filed this contempt petition alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 15.2.2022 passed in WPS No.2205/2019.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents would submit that Cheque No.123625 dated 12.09.2026 amounting to Rs.70172/- towards difference of pay and allowances; Cheque No.018801 dated 12.09.2026 amounting to Rs.38741/- towards difference of commuted value of pension; Cheque No.018802 dated 12.9.2026 amounting to Rs.4,72,253/- towards arrears of pension; Cheque No.123634 dated 12.09.2023 towards arrears of gratuity and Cheque No.123633 dated 12.09.2026 amounting to Rs.27,285/towards arrears of leave encashment, have been issued to the petitioner and the same were duly received by him, which is evident from the photocopies of cheques and acknowledgment slip placed on record along with affidavit of Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Durg Division. As such, there remains nothing to be adjudicated upon in this contempt petition and the same may be closed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the above submission of learned counsel for respondents.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents available in record of contempt petition.

Perusal of the order dated 17.7.2018 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal Jabalpur Bench Circuit Sitting, Bilaspur would show that while allowing original application filed by petitioner herein, the respondents herein were directed to grant the petitioner benefit of 2^nd MACP by treating the benefit of TBOP granted w.e.f. 25.06.1999, as first upgradation, with all consequential benefits including revision of pension, pensionary benefits along with arrears, which was affirmed in the order passed in WPS No.2205/2019.

Considering the submission made by learned counsel for the respondents and documents placed on record along with affidavit dated 14.9.2026, it is evident that compliance of the order, subject matter of contempt, has been made and now nothing remains to be adjudicated in this contempt petition. Consequently, this contempt proceeding is dropped and contempt notice stands discharged. The contempt petition is closed. However, the petitioner will at liberty to take recourse of law if, for any reason, his grievance still subsists.
