Petitioner has filed this contempt petition alleging willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in WPS No. 2620/2025 dated 21.04.2025 between Pradeep Kumar Pandey and others vs. State of Chhattisgarh and

others , wherein writ court has disposed of the writ petition with a direction to petitioners to submit representation before Respondents No. 1 & 2 within specified time and further direction to the said authorities to take decision on the said representation within further specified time considering Promotion Rules of 1977 and to pass reasoned and speaking orders.

Learned counsel for respondents submits that the order passed by this Court has been complied with as the decision has been taken by the respondent on the representation submitted by petitioner on 21.08.2025 discussed the claim of petitioner in detail and rejected the same.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the decision taken by the respondents authorities is erroneous and not in conformity with the Rules of 1977.

Considered the submission of learned counsel for the respective parties. In the contempt proceedings, correctness of the decision taken by the respondents on the claim of petitioner cannot be gone into, when the respondents in compliance of the order passed in writ petition has considered the representation of petitioner and taken decision.

For the foregoing discussion, I am of the opinion that respondents have complied with the direction issued by this Court. Accordingly, contempt proceeding stands dropped. Notice issued to respondents stands discharged.
