1. Grievance of the Petitioners is that they are land oustees and their lands were acquired/merged for construction of Girwani Vyapartan Yozna Mukhya Nahar Niman in the year 2019.

2. Reply has been filed by Respondents/State. Learned State Counsel submits that the State is aware of the fact and therefore the acquisition proceeding has been initiated by the State for construction of Girwani Vyapartan Yozna, Mukhya Nahar Niman for larger public interest and the acquisition has already been approved. The land acquisition proceeding initiated by the Land Acquisition Officer if under process and after completing necessary legal formalities the award would be passed and thereafter, the compensation will be paid to the petitioner, subject to scrutiny, in accordance with law. After completion of the due process, the compensation as per new rates will be awarded to the affected

persons.

3. In view of the submissions made by the State in their Reply, which is supported by an Affidavit, it is directed that the State may conclude the land acquisition proceeding as has been averred in the Reply within a further period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.

4. With such observation/direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
