1. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is registered owner of the land bearing Khasra No.1160 area 0.24 acres situated at Village Chilhati, Patwari Halka No.50, Tahsil Pachpedi, District Bilaspur out of which land measuring area 0.02 acres has been acquired, however, no compensation has been paid, as such this petition has been filed for issuance of necessary direction in respect of payment of compensation to the petitioner.

2. In the first round, when the matter was called for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the State was directed to seek instructions upon which now the learned State Counsel submits that the proceeding is pending and it is likely that the compensation will be paid within 60 days.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, submits that if the respondents are willing to grant compensation to the petitioner, he will not pursue this petition and will file an appropriate representation for payment of the compensation in respect of the admission made by learned State Counsel.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and further considering the admission made by learned State Counsel, it is expected that appropriate orders will be passed within 60 days for payment of compensation to the petitioner.

The Land Acquisition Officer is directed to pass appropriate orders in respect of payment of compensation to the petitioner within 60 days from the date of production of a copy of this order. A copy of the order in this respect shall be sent to the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court forthwith along with a covering letter stating compliance of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
