This criminal appeal filed by the appellant-accused under Section 374(2) of Cr.P.C. is directed against the impugned judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 07.09.2016, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge (F.T.C.), Surajpur, District – Surajpur (C.G.) in Sessions Case No. 21/2015, whereby the appellant-accused

has been convicted for offence under Sections 302 & 201 of IPC and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment with fine of Rs.500/- and R.I. for 5 years with fine of Rs. 300/-, respectively with default stipulation.

In this case, in compliance with the bailable warrant order of this Court dated 11.11.2025, it has been informed by Police Chouki – Basdei, Police Station – Surajpur, District – Surajpur (C.G.) that the sole appellant Sandip Kumar Painkara S/o Sahettar Ram Painkara had died on 06.11.2024 and a death certificate has been attached to this effect.

In view of the matter, this Criminal Appeal stands disposed of as the legal representative of the appellant has not approached to contest the appeal. As such, the Criminal Appeal stands disposed of as having been abated.
