The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:

“ 10.1. That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions commanding and directing the respondent-authority to quash the impugned order dated 06.01.2018 (AnnexureP1) which relates to promotion of Juniors to the petitioner.

10.2. That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire record which relates to passing of the impugned order and debarring of the petitioner from his next promotion.

10.3 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ commanding and directing the respondents to consider the case of petitioner for his next promotion post with consequential benefits from the date of promotion of his juniors.

10.4. Any other relief as this Hon’ble Court may deems fit looking to the facts and circumstances of the case may also be awarded.”

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since long back petitioner is not contacted with him which shows that the petitioner has no interest in pursuing the matter.

3. In the aforesaid facts, there is no other option left but to dismiss the petition for want of prosecution.

4. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution .

5. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
