BATCH DISPOSAL – APPOINTMENT LETTERS – POST OF DEPUTY COLLECTOR: Twelve writ petitions (WPS Nos. 5128, 5123, 5143, 5193, 5198, 5445, 5415, 5443, 5432, 5186, 5197 and 5456 of 2024) by candidates who appeared in the 2022 examination of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, succeeded therein, and were placed in the selection list issued on 06.09.2023 for the post of Deputy Collector; relief sought was direction to the State to issue appointment letters (the relief clause as printed reads 'to be appointed on the post of District Collector'). decided by this common order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner in these petitions are praying for relief that the respondent/State may be directed to issue appointment letters in favour of the petitioners to be appointed on the post of District Collector. The petitioners had appeared in the examination conducted by Respondent No.3/Public Service Commission in the year of 2022, they were successful in the said examination and were placed in selection list to be appointed on the post of Deputy Collector. The selection list was issued by Public Service Commission on 06.09.2023. As the State Government failed to issue appointment letters of the petitioners in lieu of the selection list, the petitioners have approached this Court. On the earlier dates, this Court directed the State Counsel to seek instructions.

Shri Vivek Shrama, Additional A.G. on instructions submits that the State Government from Department of General administration vide its order dated 05.09.2024 issued the appointment letter/order to these petitioners to join on the post of Deputy Collector and the the same has been placed before this Court which has been made part of the record.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioners submits, for the present, the grievances of the petitioners as projected in the writ petition have been redressed, therefore, these petitions may be disposed of.

In the light of the above, these writ petitions is disposed of. Certified Copy as per rules.
