Counsel for the petitioner submits that this petition was filed seeking the relief of promotion to the post of Assistant Controller Legal Metrology from that of Inspector Legal Metrology in the department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection, Government of Chhattisgarh. He submits that during the pendency of this petition the petitioner has received a communication from the respondents to the effect that he is likely to be considered for promotion in compliance of the earlier order dated 25.06.2024 and therefore for the present, he may be permitted to withdraw this petition with liberty to file a fresh petition if cause of action still survives. This submission is not opposed by the counsel for the respondents.
