1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was promoted on the post of Inspector (Arms) by order dated 07.07.2005 and though he has completed 6 years on the post of Inspector (Arms), he was not granted either senior pay scale or not promoted on the post of D.S.P. (Arms) and meanwhile, he was retired on 30.11.2016 and his representation is pending for the aforesaid relief. Therefore, the respondents No.1 & 2 be directed to consider the petitioner’s representation for grant of senior pay scale and grant of promotion in accordance with law.

2. Learned State counsel would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be decided in accordance with law.

Be that as it may, since the petitioner’s representation is pending, the respondents No.1 & 2 are directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner for grant of senior pay scale and for grant of promotion, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. In view of the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
