contact him on phone, but when the said phone call was not picked up, search of the deceased was started by Anant Singh (PW-16) [brother of the deceased] and said Manish Agarwal (PW-13). When the deceased was not traceable, missing person report was lodged on 22.06.2016. Thereafter, on 25.06.2016 the dead-body of the deceased was recovered near Dokranala, National Highway No.53, situated at Village Nawagaon, Saraipali and same was identified by the brother of the deceased, namely, Anant Singh (PW-16) vide Ex.P/07. Pursuant to which, dehati merg. intimation (Ex.P/01) and FIR (Ex.P/17) were registered by the police and wheels of investigation started running, in which, summons under Section 175 of CrPC were sent vide Ex.P/02 and inquest proceedings were conducted vide Ex.P/03. Spot map and panchnama were also prepared vide Ex.P/05 & Ex.P/19 respectively. The dead-body of the deceased was sent for postmortem examination, which was conducted by Dr. S.K. Bagh (PW-11) and, as per PM report (Ex.P/33), cause of death of the deceased is head injury and nature of death is homicidal. The appellant-accused was arrested vide Ex.P/11 and his memorandum statement was recorded vide Ex.P/08. Pursuant to the memorandum statement of the appellant, iron rod and one mobile phone have been seized vide Ex.P/10A. Certain other articles were also seized vide Ex.P/09, P/12, P/14 & P/18.
