The brief facts of the case are that, on 01/09/2015, the complainant Rajesh Yadav lodged a report that on 31/08/2015, he along with his brother-in-law i.e. Ramjeet Yadav, who is the appellant in the present case, had come to Ambikapur and while coming, near Rainpur Forest, the respondents / accused i.e. Mahesh Prasad, Manik Prasad Yadav & Lalchand Yadav stopped them and on account of having old land dispute, these respondents/accused persons assaulted the appellant Ramjeet Yadav with an axe and they hurled filthy abuses and they committed marpeet and threatened to kill. The incident was communicated by the complainant in phone to one Raghuvansh Prasad and, thereafter, the appellant was admitted to District Hospital and thereafter, they reported the incident to the concerned police station and Crime No. 471/2015 was registered by the police. The matter was investigated by the police and the respondents / accused were arrested. After investigation, the charge sheet was filed against the accused persons / respondents.
