the turning of the I.T.I., at that time, the accused/appellant stopped her on the way and proceeded with each other. After some time when the complainant opposed going with the appellant, he put a handkerchief on the mouth of the complainant, she got unconscious and when she woke up she found herself in the forest. Thereafter, the complainant tried to run away from the spot but the appellant/accused stopped her and tried to outrage her modesty, on opposing by the complainant, the appellant threatened her for life and tried to commit rape with her. At the request of the complainant, the appellant dropped her to the Baloda-Bazar road. After that, the complainant came to the house of her uncle and told the said incident to him, thereafter they lodged a complaint of the said incident. On this complaint, police lodged a report and the complainant was sent to the Baloda-Bazar hospital for medical examination. The police prepared the spot map, statements of the witnesses were recorded and the appellant/accused was taken to custody and sent for medical examination. After the completion of the investigation, the appellant was arrested and charge sheet was filed before the lower Court.
