The petitioner has filed this petition contending that his land situated at village Suvabhodi comprising area of 0.85 acres has been acquired by the respondent SECL for Dipika project. As per the policy he is entitled for employment.

Learned counsel for the SECL would submit that the committee of the Functional Director vide memo dated 22.07.2022 has considered the case of petitioner No. 2 for employment pursuant to which The General Manager, SECL Dipika has issued letter to the Collector, Korba asking for appointing representative of the district administration for conducting interview of the petitioner

Accordingly, it is directed that the District Collector, Korba shall make an endeavour to nominate their officer within four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Thereafter, the interview be conducted within further 3 weeks. If the petitioner No. 2 is found eligible for the employment, then, the SECL shall consider the case of the petitioner for employment within further period of 4 weeks in accordance with law.

It is further observed that any delay tactics adopted by the anyone will be viewed seriously by this Court.

With this observation, the writ petition is finally disposed off. It is incumbent upon the petitioner to handover a copy of this order along with petition to the State.
