The petitioner did not receive any response so he approached the District Consumer Forum by way of fling an application under Section 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and sought appropriate compensation for the distress caused to the petitioner. The application of the petitioner was rejected on the ground that District Consumer Forum have no jurisdiction. Hence, this petition.
