This revision has been preferred against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 22.11.2016 passed in Criminal Appeal No.59/2016 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Dhamtari whereby the appellant has been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act and sentenced to undergo RI for 6 months and to pay a fine of Rs.1,50,000/-, plus default stipulation.

The respondent No.1 has entered into a compromise with the applicant vide docket produced before the Lok Adalat, the compromise is voluntary and appears to be lawful, both the parties are present in person before the Court and they have also been identified through their Adhar Cards.

In that view of the matter, the applicant is acquitted of the charge under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act as the offence is compoundable in nature.

Consequently, the revision is disposed of. A copy of this order be
