by the Tribunal. The claimant would also be entitled for future prospects to be taken into consideration while quantifying the compensation. Considering the age of the claimant, 25% of his income would be added towards future prospects which brings his yearly income to Rs.67,500/-. Considering the disability of 50% that has been assessed by the Tribunal, the yearly income would come to Rs.37,750/-. If the said amount is multiplied applying the multiplier of 13, the amount comes to Rs. 4,38,750/- which would be the amount of compensation payable towards loss of earning capacity. In addition, the claimant would be entitled for compensation of Rs.40,000/- as awarded by the Tribunal towards the medical expenses incurred, future treatment and also towards pain and suffering & special diet to make the total compensation payable to the claimant at Rs.4,78,750/- in stead of Rs.2,74,000/- as assessed by the Tribunal. The enhanced amount shall also carry interest at the same rate as has been fixed by the Tribunal.
