1. The Appellant/Petitioner, by means of this appeal has challenged the order dated 24.06.2016 passed by a learned Single Judge of this Court in Writ Petition (S) No. 2053 of 2016 rejecting the writ petition on the ground that alternative remedy of appeal is available to the Petitioner and he may avail the same.

2. Shri K.N.Nande, learned counsel for the Appellant/Petitioner submits that the appeal has been filed on 30.06.2016 but the same has not been decided till date. He further states that the Appellant/Petitioner is due to

retire on 31.01.2017.

3. In view of the above, we dispose of this appeal with the following directions:

(i) That, the Appellant/Petitioner shall, alongwith a copy of this order, appear before the Appellate Authority on or before 26^th September, 2016. Thereafter, the Appellate Authority shall fix a date for hearing of the appeal.

(ii) It is made clear that no counsel would be allowed to appear on behalf of the Appellant/Petitioner.

(iii) If the Appellant/Petitioner wants, he shall be heard in person and thereafter, the appeal be disposed of by a reasoned order by 7^th October, 2016.
